An invitation was received by the Grand Chapter of Québec, OES from the Grand Lodge of Québec to attend their 140th Annual Grand Lodge Communication. Attending the morning session were Bro. Armand Lono, Worthy Grand Patron and Sis. Anita Young, Grand Secretary. Sis. Huguette Daguerre our Worthy Grand Matron was unable to attend. Sis. Judy Christiansen and Sis. Irene Bastien were there to represent the Daughters of the Nile. Sis. Judy is the reigning Queen and Sis Irene is a Past Queen. Brother Armand and Sister Anita brought greetings on behalf of the Order of the Eastern Star. Likewise, Sister Judy brought greetings on behalf of the Nile. Following their presentations, the ladies were escorted from the Lodge room by the Past Grand Masters. They were driven to St. Paul's Hotel in Vieux Montréal and brought to the hospitality suite for light refreshments. At 5 PM they were returned to the Grand Lodge Memorial Hall for the Grand Lodge dinner, where they were joined by Fabienne Winter, Associate Grand Matron and her husband Bill, Past Grand Patron and Bro. Brian Allen a member of Owl's Head Chapter. Special recognition was given by the Grand Master to Sis. Joyce Dryden for organizing the Ladies' Programme.
